At Midhurst Dental we provide dental crowns to those who have broken, decayed or weak teeth.
What are dental crowns?
Often referred to as 'dental caps', dental crowns can be made out of porcelain/ceramic, gold alloy, or a combination of both, and are sometimes used to for aesthetic purposes for the appearance of teeth.
How do I know if I need a dental crown?
If any of your teeth are broken, decayed or weak, dental restorations called dental crowns may be used to rebuild them.
How do dental crowns work?
When cemented into place, dental crowns completely cover the parts of teeth that lie at and above the gum line. As they encase the entire visible aspect of teeth, in effect, dental crowns become the new outer surfaces of your teeth. This is in contrast to composite fillings, inlays and onlays that fill in or cover just a portion of a tooth.
If you think you need dental restoration services, including crowns, please contact Midhurst Dental today.
